Armenia: MPs to be Tested for Coronavirus
Members of Armenia’s National Assembly will undergo coronavirus testing.
Parliamentary Deputy Chief of Staff Lilit Minasyan told Hetq that the reason for the testing is a preventative measure and refuted press reports that one of her staffers had been infected with the coronavirus.
Minasyan said that some MPs, who recently served as election monitors in Artsakh, were tested before they left Armenia. None tested positive for the virus.
The parliamentary official only MPs will be tested, not parliamentary staffers.
The testing date has yet to be scheduled.
