Ambassador Shugaryan was one of the most respected diplomats in Washington DC. He was a statesman, intellectual, and guided Armenia's emergence into the World Community. I had the great honor to work with him as a former Chairman of the Armenian Assembly. Moreover, the greatest honor was to be his friend. My utmost sincere condolences to this Armenian patriot that transformed Armenia into a respected nation state. Respectfully my condolences to Lilit and Family. Carl Bazarian
