President Sarkissian Congratulates Israeli President on Independence Day

Armenian President Armen Sarkissian sent the following message to Israeli President Reuven Rivlin, congratulating him on Israeli Independence Day.

“I warmly remember our meeting at the beginning of the year, which was a great opportunity to once again give voice to the fates of the Armenian-Jewish peoples and their historical commonalities. It was also a great opportunity to discuss new prospects for expanding and strengthening cooperation between our countries.

I greatly miss the direct dialogue between Armenia and Israel and the continuous cooperation in crisis situations, especially today, when all humanity is trying to overcome the challenges of the pandemic movement through joint efforts. I am glad that during the recent telephone conversation with you we talked about the exchange of experience and information on this issue, as well as mutual support.

I am confident that the subsequent implementation of the agreements reached will impart a new facet to the Armenian-Israeli partnership for the benefit of our peoples.”
