In the span of one day, the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Armenia rose by 134.

The total, as of April 30, stands at 2,066.

Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan announced that six people are now on ventilators.

Torosyan added that seventeen patients are in extremely serious condition and another 59 in serious condition.

Torosyan said some of the new cases are linked to a funeral.

He said that if the current infection rate continues to hold, asymptomatic individuals or those with light symptoms may not be hospitalized in order to save beds for the seriously ill.

Two more Covid-19 deaths were recorded, raising the number to 32.
