
FM Mnatsakanyan Says 63,000 Citizens Have Returned to Armenia Since March 1
Some 63,000 citizens have returned to Armenia since March 1, this according to Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Zohrab Mnatsakanyan.
Mnatsakanyan told members of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs that his ministry has been encouraging citizens to return, especially given the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
Mnatsakanyan presented the passenger transportation carried out since March 15, according to which 67 people were transferred from Rome to Armenia on March 15, 115 people from Georgia, all of them free of charge. On the same day, 24 people from Angola and four from Poland moved to Armenia.
According to Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, free flights are a combination of cooperation between the Armenian government, various partner organizations and individuals.
