Armenia: Those Newly Diagnosed with Covid-19 Will Self-Isolate at Home

Armenian Minster of Health Arsen Torosyan, in a Facebook post today, announced that individuals now quarantined in hotels or hospitals, after having tested positive for Covid-19, will be released if they show no symptoms for the disease.

He wrote that even those with very mild fevers will be released.

Torosyan added that newly diagnosed individuals will no longer be isolated at those same hospitals and hotels.

Torosyan said that one of the reasons for the policy change is the increase of the number of people testing positive for Covid-19.

Newly diagnosed individuals will self-isolate at home according to the new policy.

Torosyan said the new policy’s success would depend on the responsible actions of all.
