Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan and Family Members Test Positive for Covid-19

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his family members have tested positive for Covid-19.

Pashinyan reported the news today in a Facebook post, writing that he was tested yesterday and showed no symptoms.

Pashinyan wrote that he decided to get tested because he was planning to visit frontline military units.

He says that he believes he contacted the virus by drinking from a water glass during a recent cabinet session that had been placed by a staffer not wearing gloves.

The staffer later tested positive for Covid-19.

Pashinyan adds that he is certain that he infected his wife and four children. He says that they are showing no symptoms of the disease.

The Armenian Prime Minister says he will continue to work, in isolation, for as long as possible from his office.
