Pashinyan and Putin Discuss June 24 Great Patriotic War Ceremony in Moscow

Russian President Vladimir Putin today, by telephone, congratulated Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on his 45th birthday and wished him and his family a speedy recovery after testing positive for Covid-19.

The two, according to a statement released by Pashinyan’s office, exchanged views on the coronavirus epidemic and possible further developments.

In this context, they discussed possible areas of cooperation between the health ministries of the two countries.  

President Putin stressed Russia’s readiness to support the Armenia in the fight against the epidemic.

The two also spoke about the parade to be held in Moscow on June 24 to mark the 75th anniversary of the victorious end of the Great Patriotic War.

Prime Minister Pashinyan thanked Putin for the invitation to atend and was confident that he will recover and will be able to take part in all the events dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the end of WWII.
