Edward Sharmazanov - Ruling Governments Also Make Mistakes
Parliament Vice-President Edward Sharmazanov, during a meeting with students at the Yerevan Linguistics University and Yerevean State University, confessed that ruling governments also make mistakes.
Sharmazanov made the comment when answering a student who asked if the government takes the critiques made by the opposition into account.
Sharmazanov said that there have been occasions when representatives of the opposition and government collaborate on drafting legislation.
“The opposition isn’t always wrong and the government isn’t always right,” noted the parliament vice-president, referring to how politics plays out on the world stage.
When asked what the ramifications for Armenia would be if war broke out in neighboring Iran, Sharmazanov said it would cause a humanitarian crisis in the country given that Iran serves as a unique transit route.
