Armenian Official: Gunfire Along Azerbaijani Border Has Ceased

Artsrun Hovhannisyan, Press Spokesman for the Information Crisis Center in Ijevan announced at a press conference today in that northeastern Armenian town that all fighting along the Tavush border with Azerbaijan had ceased as of midnight July 14.

He said that some eighteen Armenian soldiers and two policemen had been wounded in the recent fighting along the Azerbaijani border. Ten are now hospitalized and one is in serious condition.

The Armenian government has official confirmed the death of four Armenin military servicemen.  

Hovhannisyan said that Armenian forces had shot down two Azerbaijani drones during the night, raising the total number of downed Azerbaijani drones to ten.

He said that Azerbaijan used a wide range of weapons during the fighting that broke out on July 12, including various caliber firearms, tanks, artillery and attack drones.

Hovannisian said there will be no evacuation of residents from any border community of Tavush and an inventory of damage in local communities will soon be launched.
