Armenian Ministry of Defense Spokesperson Shushan Stepanyan announced today that aound 3:40am local time, Armenian military units repellled at attempted Azerbaijani incursion olong the Tavush border, inflicting what she described as "losses" within the Azerbaijani unit.

Stepanyan said that some two hours later, Azerbaijani units started shelling the Armenian villages of Aygepar and Movses, using mortars and a D-30 howitzer. The shelling continues.

She said that Armenian military units are neutralizing provocations of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.

Stepanyan noted that is the first serious violation of the fragile ceasefire established yesterday at 00:15.

The Armenian military, she said, suffered no casualties as a result of operations carried out today in the northeastern part of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
