Armenian Security Service Wants to Restrict Use of Non-Military Drones Along the Border

Armenia’s National Security Service (NSS) wants to to ban the use of non-military drones in the country’s border area without proper permission and the photographing of buildings and vehicles used by border troops and has submitted a bill to the parliament today calling for such changes to the law.

The NSS, in its statement, points to the unregulated use of drones by border residents and tourists as a growing problem.

The NSS says the law does not currently regulate the use of video cameras and drones in the border layer of the state border of Armenia.

The NSS says these restrictions will bolster security along the Armenian border.
