Artur Meschyan Resigns as Yerevan Chief Architect
Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan today confirmed rumors that the city’s chief architect, Artur Meschyan, has resigned.
Marutyan, at a press conference today, said that Meschyan had previously stated that he would assume the post for a two-year period only, after which he’d review his options.
Meschyan, better known as a musician and one of the founders of Armenian rock music, was awarded the job as chief architect following in October 2018, following the “Velvet Revolution” in Armenia.
