Armenia's Diaspora Commissioner Off to Beirut on Fact-Finding Mission
Armenia’s High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs Zareh Sinanyan will leave for Beirut, most likely this Saturday, to assess first hand how Armenia can assist the Lebanese-Armenian community in the wake of Tuesday’s devastating explosion that has killed more than 130 people, wounded another 5,000, and has damaged large parts of the city.
The news was confirmed at today’s government cabinet session in Yerevan, during which Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan expressed his willingness to support Lebanon and provide as much assistance as possible to both the government and the local Armenian community.
