New Bike Road Facilitates Access to Armenia's Remote Khndzorut Village
The Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets (FPWC) reports that a new expedition path and road information signs, has made cycling to the remote village of Khndzorut much easier than before.
The FPWC says it part of a larger program, with the support of the EU, to spur community-based rural tourism and cultural events in the country’s Gegharkunik and Vayots Dzor provinces in Armenia.
The FPWC has partnered with Velo Club Youth NGO to develop eco-tourism in remote biodiversity-rich remote communities.
Established in 2002, FPWC is Armenia’s leading foundation for the protection and conservation of the country’s unique natural heritage.
