The Armenian Ministry of Health today denied rumors that Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan has resigned.

In a Facebook post today, ministry press spokesperson Alina Nikoghosyan denied the news that Torosyan and Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan had quarreled, leading to Torosyan’s quitting.

“I spent all of yesterday denying the news about Torosyan’s resignation. But some outlets, to outdo the others, kept on spreading the lies,” Nikoghosyan wrote.

She wrote that the number of coronavirus cases in Armenia has stabilized and is ticking down.

Nikoghosyan said that Torosyan has taken a two week vacation, which he will spend in Armenia.
