Yerevan Gas Explosion Kills One; Others Left Homeless
A gas explosion ripped through a Yerevan apartment building today, killing one resident and trapping several others under the rubble.
Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan today rushed to the scene of the accident in Raynis Street in the city’s Kanaker-Zeytoun district.
Emergency crews were able to free twenty people from the rubble. All were sent to hospital for a review of their condition.
The Yerevan Municipality will provide temporary accommodations to those left homeless.
A criminal investigation has been launched.
