Armenia’s Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports reports that in cooperation with ICOM Armenia and ROCHEMP-Armenia (Regional Office for Cultural Heritage Enhancement, Management and Protection), an assessment of the needs of museums and reserves-museums in the country has been organized, on the basis of which, the USAID "My Armenia" initiative has developed a Covid-19 removal Program.

In the first stage of the initiative, 36 museums and reserve-museums in Armenia’s Shirak, Lori, Tavush, Vayots Dzor and Syunik provinces were provided with technical equipment, hygienic safety items, and posters specifying visiting regulations.

The first fundraising event of the program took place today in Yerevan’s Khachatur Abovyan House-Museum, which was attended by Deputy Minister of Education, Science Culture and Sport Narine Khachaturyan.

She congratulated those present in connection with the reopening of museums after a long break and stressed the importance of the joint program.
