Pashinyan Congratulates Uzbek President on Independence Day

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sent a congratulatory message today to Uzbek President Shavkat  Mirziyoyev on his country’s Independence Day. Uzbekistan declared its independence from the Soviet Union on September 1, 1991.

Pahinyan’s message, in part, reads,

Dear Shavkat Miromoni,

Please accept my heartfelt congratulations on the Independence Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Since declaring its independence, Uzbekistan has made significant progress in the political, socio-economic spheres, as well as in strengthening its international standing.

I am convinced that the friendly, trusting relations between the peoples of our countries will further enhance the effectiveness of interstate cooperation in various fields for the benefit of our peoples.
