
Armenian Parliament Approves Composition of New Coronavirus Inquiry Commission
Armenia’s parliament has set the number of members of a new commission of inquiry that will track the effectiveness of government steps to combat the coronavirus epidemic in the country.
The commission, initiated by the opposition Prosperous Armenia and Bright Armenia factions, may include seven members from the pro-government My Step faction, three from Prosperous Armenia, and two from Bright Armenia.
The commission chairman is Arkady Khachatryan, a member of the Bright Armenia faction.
The parliament, by a vote of 110-0, passed the bill creating the commission that will operate for the next six months.
