
Armenian Parliament Rejects "No Confidence" Measure Against Education Minister
Armenia’s National Assembly, by a vote of 84 to 35 voted down a “no confidence” measure against Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Arayik Harutyunyan.
The “no confidence” measure was introduced by the Bright Armenia faction. The party says Harutyunyan has failed as a minister.
Some circles in Armenia have criticized recent Harutyunyan educational reforms as undermining Armenian national values.
The ARF organized a protest march today in Yerevan calling for Harutyunyan’s resignation.
