The Reuters news agency reports that Azerbaijan’s parliament has approved the declaration of martial law throughout the country and has imposed curfews today.

Reuters reports that the news was announced by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s aide Hikmet Hajiyev.

The news was also reported by the Baku-based Turan Information Agency.
