Armenian Ministry of Defense spokesperson Shushan Stepanyan reports that the Azerbaijani military has launched a large-scale attack towards the northwestern border of Artsakh but that Armenian forces are halting Azerbaijani units.

Armenian Ministry of Defense representative Artsrun Hovhannisyan wrote on his Facebook page that Azerbaijan has sent new forces and equipment to the Line of Contact.

He said that Armenian forces had shot down three Azerbaijani planes this morning.

In another post, Hovhannisyan wrote that intelligence data shows that the number of Azerbaijani soldiers killed exceeds 3,000.

 "Most of the bodies are in the neutral zone and practically no steps are taken to remove them,” he wrote.
