Pashinyan, Merkel Discuss Artsakh Fighting

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and German Chancellor Angela Merkel again spoke by phone yesterday to discuss the fighting along the Artsakh-Azerbaijan border.

Pashinyan, according to a statement released by his office, spoke about the recent revelations proving the involvement of the Turkish military, as well as the transfer of mercenaries and militants from that country to Azerbaijan.

Merkel stressed the need for a ceasefire and the resumption of the peace process according to the October 1 statement of the leaders of the Minsk Group co-chairing countries.

How can we stop and have peace when we are just protecting our house? To put it in understanding it's almost like someone breaking into your house, I would not imagine a third party with a Peace Pipe in the living room sitting both sides down to discuss it.
