Rustam Bakoyan, a Yezidi MP in Armenia’s National Assembly urged his compatriots to continue financially supporting the Artsakh Defense Army, adding that ambulances donated by the Yezidi community have reached Artsakh.

 Speaking about Turkey's participation in the ongoing fighting Turkey, Bakoyan warned Ankara to never confuse Yezidis with the Kurds.

Bakoyan then called for the independence of Azerbaijan’s Talysh and Lezgin national minorities.

"You live in your historical homeland. You have the right to self-determination. "We, the Yezidis, feel full citizens in Armenia with the Armenians," he said.

Bakoyan stated that a Yezidi detachment is fighting against Islamist mercenaries in the south of Artsakh and that they are seeking revenge for the 2014 Yezidi massacres in Sinjar, Iraq.
