Turkish Foreign Minister in Baku: Ankara Ready to Assist Azerbaijan In All Sectors
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, at a meeting today in Baku with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, announced that Turkey is ready to provide Azerbaijan with any type of assistance required, this according to the Russian news outlet TASS.
"Today, the Azerbaijani people are fighting for the liberation of their lands and are able to do so. They have the power and potential to do. Of course, Turkey, the Turkish people, are ready to aid Azerbaijan in any field if Baku needs it," he said.
Çavuşoğlu stressed that he had come to Baku to "once again show the support of the Turkish people to Azerbaijan."
Aliyev noted that Ankara's support strengthens Azerbaijan both morally and tangibly.
"It inspires and empowers us at the same time. It plays an important role in ensuring stability and peace in the region," Aliyev said, adding that "decisive statements" of Turkish President Erdogan have showed the whole world that Azerbaijan is not alone.
