German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan today, by video conference, discussed, among other issues, the current situation in Nagorno Karabakh, this according to a statement released by Germany’s Cabinet of Ministers.

"In connection with the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the Chancellor spoke in favor of ceasefire talks within the OSCE Minsk Group, which would be aimed at significant progress," the statement reads.
