Turkish Delegation Tries to Prevent Reading of Armenian Delegation at BSEC Session

The Armenian delegation attending a scheduled session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) opened their remarks with a statement on Turkish-Azerbaijani aggression against Artsakh.

The Armenian delegation first sent the statement to the member states of the Assembly, and then, at the beginning of the remote session, it was read by the delegation member Anush Begloyan.

Armenian delegation head Babken Tunyan reported the news today at the Armenian parliament at a session designed to summarize   the delegation’s work.

"Maritime economic cooperation is one of the most difficult platforms. There are twelve countries, and all of them have some conflict with the rest, including us. It is called an economic organization, but, unfortunately, an attempt is made to use it as a political platform,” Tunyan said.

NA Vice Speaker Vahe Enfiajyan noted that the center of the Assembly is in Istanbul, and the Secretary General of the structure is Azerbaijani.

"Mrs. Begloyan presented the previously agreed upon statement to the representatives of twelve states, so that they clearly understand the facts of what has been unleashed in the region. The representatives of the Turkish delegation tried to prevent that statement from being read, asking to return to the agenda, "Enfiajyan said.

"There are countries that, despite knowing the truth can turn around and behave in an opposite fashion," Tunyan said, adding that it is no secret to any country in the world that there is an alliance of terrorists and Turkish arms levelled against Armenia and Artsakh.
