Ankara Pulling Azerbaijan's Military Strings, Says Armenian MP
MP Arman Yeghoyan, Chairman of the Armenian National Assembly’s Standing Committee on European Integration, told journalists today in Yerevan that Turkey is making decisions for the Azerbaijani armed forces in the ongoing war, especially when it comes to respecting the Moscow-brokered humanitarian ceasefire.
"I think Azerbaijan no longer decides whether to attack, not to attack, to retreat or to establish a ceasefire. Those decisions are made in Turkey. By and large, it is Turkey that disregards the humanitarian ceasefire regime," Yeghoyan said.
The MP said that the Azerbaijani-Turkish alliance has its eyes on the entire region, not just Artsakh.
Yeghoyan said that once the extent of the Azerbaijani’s military losses is revealed, The Aliyev regime will face serious internal political problems.
"The attacking side suffers several times more losses. Such losses were incurred for nothing or one or two positions or villages. Now, it is a total defeat," he said, adding that this is the reason why Azerbaijan is trying to improve its position as much as possible.
