U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo today tweeted the following:

The United States calls on Azerbaijan and Armenia to implement their commitments to a ceasefire as agreed and cease targeting civilian areas, such as Ganja and Stepanakert. We deplore the loss of human life and remain committed to a peaceful settlement.

On October 9, after 11 hours of talks in Moscow between the Foreign Ministers of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia, it was decided to declare a humanitarian ceasefire in Nagorno Karabakh, to allow for the exchange of POWs and the war dead.

Azerbaijan, however, continues to violate the humanitarian ceasefire. Fighting continues in Artsakh.
