Artsakh Prosecutor General Launches Criminal Case Re: Brutal Murder of Two Artsakh Civilians

A criminal case has been initiated in connection with the brutal murder of two Artsakh residents, aged 73 and 25, during the aggressive war unleashed by the Republic of Azerbaijan against the Artsakh Republic, this according to a statement released by Adviser to the Artsakh’s Prosecutor General's Office Gor Abrahamyan.

"A video has been actively spread on social networks today, where it is seen how the servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan, for obvious motives of national hatred, open fire on an unarmed, defenseless old man and a young man, continuing to shoot them with extreme cruelty,” the statement reads.

According to the statement, the two civilians were “de facto captives” and thus ensured protection from such violations of international norms.

One of the two civilians (b. 1947) is identified as a Hadrut town resident, and the other a resident (b. 1995) of the Tayk village in the Hadrut region.
