Video: The Dangers of Phosphorus Weapons

Armenia’s Ministry of Defense released the following video showing the dangers of using banned phosphorus weapons recently employed by Azerbaijan in Artsakh.

"Phosphorus itself is a toxic substance. It can cause bone and bone marrow damage as well as tissue death. A person who falls into the destruction zone of such a bomb can receive fatal injuries, especially deep burns.

"Even a healthcare provider who has received phosphorus burns must be carefully trained, otherwise they too might get burned when treating a patient exposed to phosphorus."
