Berdzor-Shushi Roadway Temporarily Closed, Says Armenian Defense Ministry Official

Throughout today, November 4, Azerbaijani armed forces attempted to attack in several directions, including the northeast, but did not succeed, this according to Armenian Ministry of Defense Special Representative Artsrun Hovhannisyan.

At a press briefing in Stepanakert today, Hovhannisyan said that Azerbaijani forces would face “hell” if they attempted to advance towards the Artsakh capital.

In the southern direction, in the direction of a hill along the Vorotan River, the enemy tried to attack with a detachment, lost 2-3 units of military equipment and was thrown back. According Hovhannisyan, the Azerbaijani armed forces used air and artillery on a small scale.

Touching upon the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, Hovhannisyan said that there were no active hostilities, except for three UAVs damaged by the Armenian armed forces in Armenia’s Gegharkunik Province.

Assessing the current situation, Artsrun Hovhannisyan mentioned that the situation of the Armenian Armed Forces was worse 10-15 days ago տհան նօո․

"Now our potential, self-organization and management, many other factors are in a better condition. We do not see panic or forcibly holding anyone. I just say we will win and I am sure we will win. "I would not have made such an expression myself if I was not sure about it," the representative of the Ministry of Defense assured.

The Berdzor-Shushi road continues to be temporarily closed for civilians. According to Hovhannisyan, the enemy's subversive group in that direction has already been neutralized, but they do not want to endanger the lives of civilians. There are other roads connecting Artsakh with Armenia and Hovhannisyan urged civilians to use those roads.

The rest of Hovhannisyan's briefing wasn’t available, as the live broadcast on the Facebook page of the Armenian Joint Information Center was interrupted, probably due to a communication breakdown
