Artsakh War, Nov.8: Battle for Shushi Continues

At his daily briefing today regarding developments on the battlefield, Armenian Defense Ministry Special Representative Artsrun Hovhannisyan reported that while intense battles continued in different directions of the front, the general situation is "quite positive."

In the north, the enemy troops with small tactical groups, supported by artillery fire, tried to attack the positions of the Artsakh Defense Army but suffered losses and were repulsed.

Hovhannisyan said that in the direction of Martuni the enemy had a positional advance, but Artsakh Defense Army repulsed enemy forces to their original position.

In the city of Shushi, and in the surrounding areas, were fierce battles throughout the day, which continue at the moment, although the intensity, according to Hovhannisyan, has weakened.

There were heavy battles in the direction of Berdzor, where the enemy tried to invade the city of Berdzor, and from that direction to help their units fighting in Shushi.

They suffered significant losses and fled.
