No Detention for Artur Vanetsyan
Yerevan’s Court of General Jurisdiction today rejected a motion, filed by the National Security Service, to detain Artur Vanetsyan on charges of plotting to assassinate Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan.
Vanetsyan, a former head of the National Security Service, had been detained on this charge and two others (illegal weapons procurement, usurping state power), but was subsequently released.
