Putin on Karabakh: "Conditions have been created for a long-term and full-scale settlement of the crisis"

Russian President Vladimir Putin, addressing a BRICS summit today by video-conference call, said that the Karabakh ceasefire agreement is being respected and the situation in the area is stabilizing.

"It is important that these agreements are respected. Hostilities have completely stopped. The situation is stabilizing. Thus, conditions have been created for a long-term and full-scale settlement of the crisis, and on a fair basis, in the interests of both the Azerbaijani and Armenian peoples," the Russian president stressed, this according to the Russian state-owned RIA Novosti news agency.

(The 2020 BRICS summit is the twelfth annual BRICS summit, an international relations conference to be attended by the heads of state or heads of government of the five member states Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.)
