A landmine exploded in Nagorno Karabakh today, wounding four employees of the Artsakh State Emergency Service and one officer of the Russian peacekeeping contingent.

RIA Novosti, citing the Russian Defense Ministry, says that one officer of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces was killed.

The wounded Russian officer was taken to Baku for medical treatment and is reported in stable condition.

The mine exploded in the northern village of Mataghis when Russian peacekeepers and International Committee of the Red Cross employees were searching for bodies of those killed during the war.
