During a meeting today in Yerevan, Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan and Russian Ambassador Sergey Kopirkin discussed issues related to the process of exchanging POWs and the search for MIAs in the Karabakh conflict zone.

Avinyan, according to a statement released by his office, proposed an "all for all" prisoner exchange with Azerbaijan.

He also proposed a mechanism that would allow the return of POWs located in the future, without any preconditions,

Ambassador Kopirkin noted his government is paying particular attention to the issue and that Moscow attaches special importance to the comprehensive implementation of the provisions of the November 9, 2020 trilateral ceasefire declaration.

Avinyan welcomed the humanitarian assistance provided by Russia and stressed the need for unhindered access to Artsakh by international humanitarian organizations.
