Yerevan Rally Demands Resignation of Pashinyan

A rally calling for the resignation of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan kicked-off in Yerevan’s Liberty Square today.

People chanted “An Armenia without Nikol” and “The traitor must leave”.

The rally began with a minute of silence in memory of the victims of the recent war in Artsakh.

Dadivank Monastery Abbot Hovhannes Hovhannisyan then addressed the growing crowd.

"I am very sad today. I am sad that we have lost a part of the territory of Artsakh, that today the bodies of our soldiers are where the enemy is. But we consider ourselves proud citizens. Pride is a great sin. Dear attendees, you have come here to raise your just voice, but there are people who want to turn all this into a fight. We must cleanse our country. This is just the beginning. We must be strong in our faith, in our love. Our territories are waiting for us," said Hovhannisyan.
