Armenia Launches Jobs Program for Artsakh Refugees

The Armenian government says it will launch a program to hire unempoyed Artsakh refugees now living in Armenia so that they can gain valuable work experience.

The program, which targets Artsakh citizens who lived in areas now under Azerbaijani control, was introduced at today’s government cabinet session by Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Mesrop Aragelyan.

Qualified individuals will be hired on a trial period of up to three months and will be paid 100,000 drams monthly.

Those who bring together employers and prospective employees will be paid 34,000 drams for their efforts.
