Yerevan Police Detain 69 at Anti-Pashinyan Rally
As of 1pm local time, Yerevan police have detained 69 demonstrators gathered outside the Government Building calling for the resignation of Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan.
A few minor scuffles broke out between demonstrators and police who cordoned off the building.
Today’s rally, organized by a loose coalition of a dozen or so political parties/organizations, is part of an ongoing effort to force Pashinyan to resign following the disastrous war in Artsakh.
Pashinyan has said most people in Armenia still support him and that he doesn’t plan to resign any time soon.
