Armenian Deputy PM Says Number of War Dead Doesn't Exceed 4,000
Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan, at a parliamentary Q&A today, said that the number of Armenian war dead, military and civilian, will not exceed 4,000.
Avinyan confessed that the list of Armenians killed in the recent Artsakh war is incomplete.
He didn’t explain why the number would not exceed 4,000 if the lists are incomplete.
He said that the bodies of 3439 servicemen have been removed from the battlefield, of which 766 have not been identified. These are undergoing DNA testing.
Avinyan said that 150 servicemen need prosthetics, and that the government will provide them at no charge.
