Armenian Security Officers Arrest Two Azerbaijani Soldiers in Border Village
On January 30, 2021, officers of the National Security Service of Armenia (NSS) arrested two servicemen of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces in the village of Tegh, in the country’s southern Syunik Province.
They were released through the mediation of the command of the Russian peacekeeping contingent.
News of the arrest was reported yesterday by the Russian Ministry of Defense published on February 1. The ministry did not provide details about the incident.
While the Ministry of Defense of Armenia disseminates daily press releases on the operative situation along the Armenian-Azerbaijani line of contact, it did not report the incident in its releases.
