Coronavirus Vaccines in Armenia to be Voluntary

Vaccinations against the coronavirus in Armenia will be voluntary, according to the country's Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan.

Avanesyan, prior to a government cabinet session today, told reporters that she couldn’t say what individuals wanting the vaccine would have to pay since no contracts have yet been signed with providers.

"The state will do everything to provide the population with vaccinations as much as possible. Sputnik V will certainly be used in Armenia, but I cannot say whether the first will be used or the second," the minister said.
