Armenian Minister Says Assistance to Artsakh Refugee Families Is Sufficient

Armenian Minster of Labor and Social Affairs Mesrop Arakelyan told reporters today in Yerevan that the level of government assistance given to families who fled Artsakh during the war and now reside in Armenia is sufficient.

Arakelyan said that starting in March, citizens of Artsakh will receive 4-month financial assistance in the amount of 68,000 drams ($130).

All citizens of Artsakh will receive assistance, except for men aged 18-63 who do not have a disability group.

If the beneficiary is a retiree over the age of 63, or a retiree with a disability regardless of age, the assistance will be provided without submitting an application based on the monthly pension payment lists for that month.

Payments will be made by bank transfer. The total budget envisages 30 billion drams for four months.
