Armenia Shows Up Empty-Handed at Abu Dhabi Defense Exhibition
Armenia showed up at the Abu Dhabi IDEX-2021 International Defense Exhibition & Conference last week but with empty shelves.
Armenia’s Ministry of High-Tech Industry, responding to criticism on the lack of Armenian products displayed, issued a statement alleging that transportation of the exhibits was organized in advance, but that “logistical” problems arose.
The ministry said that an investigation has been launched into the matter.
On February 2, during the exhibition, the ministry signed a 23 million AMD ($43,800) contract with Expo Group LLC for the construction and design of the Armenian pavilion.
Unlike the empty Armenian empty pavilion, Azerbaijan’s pavilion displayed a host of weapons.
Azerbaijan was one of the countries participating at the exhibition for the first time.
