Shahen Babayan Gets Prosthetics; Wants to Farm Agaian

Shahen Babayan, who lost both his legs in the recent Artsakh war, was fitted with temporary prosthetics yesterday.

Babayan has been undergoing physiotherapy and acupuncture courses at the Defender of the Fatherland rehabilitation center since December 1.

Earlier this month, he applied to the Interortho German Prosthetics Center for prosthetics. On February 22, Babayan was given temporary prosthetic devices to teach him to stretch his limbs and walk.

After learning to walk on temporary prostheses, basic prostheses will be made for him.

"I hope that after receiving the permanent prosthetics I will be able to return to a normal lifestyle. It will soon be spring. Maybe I will be able to do farming, I will achieve my goals, which were postponed due to losing my legs," says Babayan.
