Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's office claims that Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his support for the legitimate authorities of Armenia during a telephone conversation with Pashinyan.

According to a government press release, Putin said he hoped the political situation in Armenia would be resolved quickly.

Earlier today, Pashinyan supporters and opponents rallied in Yerevan and the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces called on the Armenian prime minister to resign.
