Bright Armenia Faction to Attend Political Crisis Roundtable Organized by President Sarkissian
The Lusavor Hayastan (Bright Armenia) parliamentary faction has accepted an invitation by Armenian President Armen Sarkissian to attend a March 13 roundtable discussion focusing on the political situation in the country.
Sarkissian has invited PM Nikol Pashinyan, the leaders of the three parliamentary factions, representatives of the anti-Pashinyan Homeland Salvation Movement to the conclave.
"It is reasonable that the forces that want to resolve the situation should be ready to accept such invitations. The president's invitation means sitting at a table and discussing the situation. It is a very constructive initiative, we have accepted that invitation," Bright Armenia MP Ani Samsonyan told reporters.
Samsonyan said her faction is now focused on holding snap elections in Armenia.
The MP stressed that snap elections are vital to get the country on a path towards normal development.
