Armenian National Assembly Speakers Says MPs Last Received Bonuses In February 2020

During today’s Armenian parliamentary session, government and opposition MPs accused each other of receiving bonuses.

It all started when ruling My Step faction MP Sisak Gabrielyan claimed that the opposition Prosperous Armenia faction received a bonus of 45 million drams, and the Bright Armenia faction, at least 20 million.

Prosperous Armenia faction Secretary Arman Abovyan noted that all the deputies of the faction have handed their bonuses to the fund created to tackle the coronavirus epidemic since last spring, and to the Hayastan All Armenian Fund afterwards.

National Assembly Speaker Ararat Mirzoyan insisted that the deputies last received a bonus in February 2020.

"And many deputies, regardless of the faction, partially or completely transferred their salaries to both the fund created by the coronavirus and the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund," Mirzoyan added.
